RV warranty Repairs & Requests
At Jefe’s RV Service, we proudly perform authorized warranty repairs for Forest River, Keystone RV Company, Dutchmen, and Crossroads. While we work directly with manufacturers to process warranty claims on your behalf, it’s important to understand that warranty coverage is determined solely by the manufacturer—not the service provider. In some cases, repairs may be only partially covered or denied altogether, which can result in out-of-pocket costs for the customer. We believe in full transparency and will always review approvals, limitations, and any potential customer responsibility with you before proceeding with repairs, so there are no surprises.
How RV Warranties Work
RV warranties are provided and administered by the manufacturer—not the repair facility. At Jefe’s RV Service, our role is to diagnose the issue, submit the required documentation, and perform approved warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines from Forest River, Keystone RV Company, Dutchmen, and Crossroads.
Step 1: Inspection & Diagnosis
All warranty claims begin with a professional inspection. We identify the issue, determine whether it may qualify under the manufacturer’s warranty, and document our findings. Diagnostic time, testing, or tear-down labor may not be covered by warranty and can be the customer’s responsibility.
Step 2: Warranty Claim Submission
Once the issue is documented, we submit a claim to the manufacturer for review. This includes photos, notes, part numbers, and labor estimates. Approval timelines vary by manufacturer and are outside of our control.
Step 3: Manufacturer Review & Approval
The manufacturer determines what is covered, partially covered, or denied. Coverage may be limited based on factors such as age of the RV, mileage or usage, maintenance history, previous repairs, or exclusions written into the warranty agreement.
Step 4: Customer Responsibility (Out-of-Pocket Costs)
If a claim is partially approved or denied, the customer is responsible for any non-covered labor, parts, diagnostic time, upgrades, or additional repairs. We will always review any potential out-of-pocket costs with you before moving forward.
Step 5: Repair & Completion
Once approved, we perform the authorized repairs according to manufacturer specifications. Warranty repairs must follow strict guidelines, which may differ from non-warranty or customer-paid repairs.

Important Warranty Information
RV warranties are administered and approved by the manufacturer or warranty provider—not the service facility. While Jefe’s RV Service works directly with manufacturers to inspect issues, submit documentation, and complete approved repairs, coverage decisions, labor allowances, and parts approvals are determined solely by the warranty provider.
In many cases, warranty claims may be partially approved or denied, which can result in out-of-pocket costs for the customer. These costs may include diagnostic labor, non-covered parts or labor, travel or mobile service fees, upgrades or improvements beyond the original warranty scope, and additional repairs discovered during the inspection process.
Warranty evaluations often require diagnostic time to properly identify the cause of an issue and submit accurate documentation. Diagnostic labor is frequently not covered under warranty, even when a repair is ultimately approved.
Approval timelines vary by manufacturer and may be affected by documentation requirements, inspection reviews, or parts availability. Jefe’s RV Service does not control manufacturer approval times but will communicate updates as they are received.
Our goal is transparency throughout the warranty process. Any potential customer responsibility will always be reviewed and discussed prior to performing repairs, ensuring you have a clear understanding of coverage limitations and next steps.
